Decisions and items discussed during planning meeting on 4/2/06
Classmates who did not graduate but went to school with us will be invited.
We voted to keep the agenda from September 16, 2005.
New things added:
If anybody wants to play golf Sat. morning contact Darrell Kimbler or Tim Messer ahead of time so he can plan for this.
It was also brought up about meeting at Anicia Kerby’s farm on Sat. from 5 til when ever if there are some folks that do not want to go to Charleston at the Holiday Inn.
We will have a hospitality room on the 12th floor. Darrell paid $250 for the room. Donations were pledged by Jeff ($50), Pam ($50) and Tony ($50) to help Darrell with the cost.
There will no alcohol “offered” in the Hospitality Room. Alcoholic beverages may be purchased in the Club at the Charleston House Holiday Inn which is on the same floor as the hospitality room.
We need a group photo for reunion (Larry Ladato) - Coal Valley News?
We intend on making a directory of classmates.
The picnic will be catered by Pam’s mother. Pam is checking on the menu for picnic.
We had a list of D.J.’S and Jeff is to call and check for the cheapest one . Will play music from 70’s , 80’s with some others mixed in.
At the next meeting we will go over snacks and drinks for the hospitality room. Pam stated that she had a huge cooler for drinks.
We will also be updating a list of people that we are still searching for.
Decided to get mailers out to those who do not have email addresses. Jeff was going to pay for postage and get these mailed out.
Mail out should go ASAP - add to mailout, anyone interested in playing gold Saturday morning early please respond so Darrell can get tee time.
Jeff will contact Lisa to reserve the Lick Creek Park from 12-4 p.m. on Saturday, September 9th. Will look for some other place to maybe go in between function at Holiday Inn.
Jeff will contact DJ's to get best offer.
Jeff is to reserve 20 rooms for Friday night also at Holiday Inn
Snacks and drinks for the Hospitality Room will be decided on later at the next meeting. We will need to plan for canned drinks for picnic on Saturday.
Everyone will need to pre-pay for reunion so we will have an accurate count and will not be out any money.
Look for sponsorships to donate to reunion - hang banner with their name on it. Ask everyone to give a little extra for future planning.
Invite teachers to picnic.
Our next meeting is tentatively scheduled for the 4th Sunday in July at 3:00 p.m. at O’ Charles.
